A Little Treat

Ian and I are both suffering so badly from "cabin fever" we decided to give ourselves a little treat and get away for just a few days after my 3 weeks of radiotherapy finished.

Having been effectively banned from travelling outside Europe (we'd be going against Onco's advice and no one in their right mind would do that - insurance or no insurance, and the latter currently applies to us), I looked around at the possibilities for this time of year and also for somewhere new to scratch off our map.  Denmark appealed as did a few of the Baltic States, Prague and Budapest but mid-March the weather can be a bit "iffy" and I could imagine us scuttling around trying to keep warm and dry and not really enjoying ourselves.

Then along came an email from BA offering Executive Mini Breaks - business class flights and 5* hotel - and one of the countries offered was Malta which (very annoying phrase coming up) ticked all the boxes.

Being just 17 miles long and 9 miles wide and with the added bonus of driving on the left, we decided to hire a car for the princely sum of £11 - I kid you not, airport pick up Monday/drop off Thursday £11 in total.
